Had hoped to retire jerseys at Packers

Clay Matthews has worked for the packaging industry for ten years. Although he left the team to join the Rams, Matthews still said he hoped to end his career as a packager.
Matthews said in an interview that although the output has decreased after the 2018 season, the packager said that he was still part of the team’s plan. But after the packers signed with Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith, Matthews knew his future. He soon received a call from Brian Gutekunst, the general manager, about the layoff decision.
“Of course I would like to stay there until my shirt is retired.” Matthews said, “But in the end, that’s what happened. I was very happy when I played in Los Angeles. It’s great to be back home and play with outstanding players.”
Matthews is the first round show of packers in 2009 and an important member of the championship team in 2010. “Everyone knew me when I played for Green Bay.” Matthews said, “The ten years I worked as a packer meant more than the year I worked as a Ram.”
